Nukeproof Bikes are Back at TVB!

We’re super pleased to announce that one of our much loved bike brands, Nukeproof, is back at TVB after a short hiatus. It’s full steam ahead from day one of their re-launch with some models already available to order for delivery this side of the new year, plus there’s some exciting additions to the line up planned for 2026.

Originally set up in the 1990s as a component brand, Nukeproof really took off in the mid 2000’s as a bike manufacturer with the launch of the original Mega. At a time when harder hitting trail bikes were short and steep angled, it really opened eyes with a set of geometry numbers that wouldn’t be too out of place even now, triggering a wave of development and putting the company onto an upward trajectory. That trend would continue over the next decade and by the time we originally opened our doors back in 2020, Nukeproof bikes had already grown into a mature and successful brand. With world cup wins in both Downhill and Enduro behind them their bikes were performing at the highest levels and coupled with a reputation for reasonable pricing and excellent support, they had rapidly built themselves into a bike brand to really be reckoned with.

Through the next few years they were going from strength to strength with the Mega and Giga evolving into highly refined enduro bikes and the Megawatt remaining arguably the best and most DH capable E-Bike out there at the time. Alongside the bikes they had also developed a range of excellent and good value components including pedals, wheels and cockpit parts and were growing an equally good value apparel range.

By 2023 they had just launched the new carbon Megawatt, which looked like it might become another benchmark E-Bike when their parent company got themselves into financial trouble and out of nowhere they became one of the most prominent casualties of the post Covid bike industry struggles. With little to no warning, the much loved brand seemed like it might be gone and for a while that looked like it might be the end of the story.

Happily, this isn’t where the tale of Nukeproof ends, with Belgian Cycling Factory (a massive European operation) stepping in to pick up where things left off this year, even bringing the original bike designers and key players back on board to make sure the bikes carry forward the same design ethos and feel. They’re looking to waste little time in getting back to market, with the brand new redesigned Reactor already available to order, and more new bikes arriving for spring/summer next year.

We’ve got the first Megas available in the next couple of weeks, Giga Carbons, Dissent Carbons and Megawatt Carbons following a few weeks after, alongside the new Reactor and great range of lightweight kids bikes Nukeproof have been known for. If you’re looking for a bike that rides just as good as the best out there, with a great build kit at a reasonable price, be sure to check one of these out, and stay tuned for more over the next few months…
