Santa Cruz Release New Stigmata 4

Santa Cruz Release New Stigmata 4

The Fourth Generation of Santa Cruz Stigmata is here! A ground up revision from the previous generation, the new Stigmata is built to meet the needs of modern gravel riding as they evolve. As comfortable on mellow singletrack as it is on the streets and of course, gravel fire roads, the new Stigmata is built to handle the full spectrum that modern gravel riding has grown to encompass. Go faster, further and harder than you thought possible on a gravel bike with the Stigmata.

Now sitting at 69.5° and with long MTB inspired reach figures (420mm on a Large) designed around a short 70mm stem, the new Stigmata handles better than ever when the fireroad runs out and you find yourself in terrain that might have had you turning around before.

All action, no traction is how some gravel riding has felt over the years thanks to cyclocross inspired frames and narrow tyre clearances. The Stigmata gives you freedom of choice for tyres with clearance for up to a 50mm 700c tyre, letting you pick the best tyre for your needs.

A larger volume tyre helps to soak up more trail chatter and reduce fatigue on longer rides. Reducing fatigue, and increasing control still further is a Rockshox Rudy 40mm suspension fork; available on the SRAM Force AXS 1X RSV build and coupled with a Rockshox Reverb AXS XPLR dropper post giving 75mm of drop, you can get the saddle down and out of the way and ride in total control for the more hair raising descents.

Further borrowing from the MTB playbook, Santa Cruz have equipped the Stigmata with a Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH). Not only does this make finding a replacement simple if you find yourself in unfamiliar territory on a bikepacking mission, it also makes the Stigmata compatible with SRAM Transmission for seamless shifts under full load.

Glovebox internal frame storage, 3 bottle mounts, and low profile fender mounts mean the Stigmata is ready to be loaded up for your bike packing trips, or just makes day rides without a pack much simpler.

Available in sizes Small to XX-Large and with 5 build options to choose from, there is a Stigmata for whatever gravel riding means to you; whether that’s packing your bags and heading for the horizon, an alternative to a road bike to explore back roads and forest tracks, or fast paced and high octane riding that verges on light MTB.
