Updated Nukeproof Mega and Giga builds
Nukeproof have refreshed the award winning Mega and Giga. New build kits and a fresh coat of paint bring updated performance, as well as a fresh look to the trails! Read on to find out more...
Nukeproof’s enduro bikes, the Mega and Giga, have both earned their place in the enduro hall of fame with the Giga racking up Enduro Bike of the Year nominations and winning Bike Park Bike of the Year, while the Mega is the race bike of choice for the Nukeproof-SRAM Factory Racing team. Both have been raced at the highest level of enduro and are loved by many for their confident ride no matter how steep and technical the trail gets, these bikes both excel on the fast, steep and rough trails you’ll typically find on an enduro race stage, but deliver their performance via different means with the Giga using a linkage driven single pivot suspension platform and the Mega a 4-bar linkage. The headline change is the inclusion of SRAM Transmission systems across RS, Factory and Elite builds. RS builds will come with an XX/X0 Transmission, Factory with X0/GX and Elite with full GX Transmission.
RS builds continue to showcase the latest and greatest from SRAM and Rockshox, with an XX/X0 Transmission and a Zeb Ultimate fork and Super Deluxe Ultimate Air shock on both Mega and Giga. SRAM Code RSC brakes and HS2 rotors give great stopping power and reliability. Nukeproof’s own Horizon V2 wheelset, Michelin tyres and a Bikeyoke Revive dropper post round out the range topping build.
Factory spec builds come with X0/GX Transmission and continue to be based around Fox Factory suspension, with both Mega and Giga coming with Factory 38 forks and Factory Float X2 rear shocks but now come fitted with Hayes Dominion A4 brakes. Hayes brakes are gaining a lot of popularity for their light lever throw and solid bar feel and when paired with Hayes’ 200mm rotors give plenty of power and modulation. A DT Swiss EX1700 wheelset wrapped in Maxxis DoubleDown tyres and Bikeyoke Divine dropper post finish off the Factory build kit.
Similarly to the Factory build, the Elite takes its name from Fox’s Performance Elite suspension series. Full GX Transmission is fitted alongside a 38 Performance Elite fork and Float X2 Performance shock on both the Mega and Giga. SRAM DB8 brakes use the same pad as the Code so bring great power to a simpler hydraulic system based around Mineral Oil instead of the DOT 5.1 as used on Codes. A Brand X Ascent dropper and Nukeproof Horizon V2 wheels with Maxxis DoubleDown tyres complete the Elite builds.
The Giga carbon Comp build also sees an update and comes fitted with Microshift’s Advent X 10 speed wide range drivetrain, Rockshox Domain RC fork, Rockshox Super Deluxe Select shock and SRAM DB8 brakes.
Refreshed to include SRAM Transmission as well as some updated component choices, the new Nukeproof range promises to deliver the same great ride quality you’ve come to expect from Nukeproof with even better components than before!
We’ll have both bikes available in Elite, Factory and RS specs in both 290 and 297 wheelsizes. Get in touch for more information and availability.
