Now completely re-designed, the brand new Ibis Oso overhauls everything from the suspension design to geometry and motor system. As with the their recent and well regarded mountain bikes, the new Oso runs on the excellent DW4 linkage which produces a great balance of plushness, support and bottom out resistance. A 600W internal battery keeps weight low and central in the frame for intuitive handling while compatibility with the Bosch Powermore extender allows a 250W booster to be added for the biggest days out. The Bosch Gen 5 CX motor has become one of our absolute favourites on the market - its reliability is unmatched and at a current 100Nm torque and 750 watts output it is powerful enough for almost everyone.
Modular dropouts allow you to run either a 27.5 or 29' rear wheel as well as switching between longer or shorter chain stays so no matter what you prefer, the Oso can be adapted to suit. Adding even more modularity, the Oso frame can be built up into multiple different bike configurations. The HD frame gives 165mm of rear travel and is designed to be ridden with 180mm fork, or the TR frame create a 160mm / 150mm bike. Switching between frame modes is as easy as changing shock and clevis, meaning that should your riding change in the future, the Oso can change with you.
