Quite possibly the closest to a DH race bike any E-Bike has ever come, the new Dreadnought E is built to handle the hardest terrain and highest speeds without flinching.
A 180mm fork and 170mm of rear travel, slack geometry and with kinematics which almost mirror the Supernought downhill bike combine to produce a terrifyingly calm and confidence inspiring E-Bike. A shorter reach number and taller stack height may look unusual on a geometry chart compared to 'normal' trail bikes, but they place the rider in a strong and upright position behind the bars in the centre of the bike able to better withstand whatever is rushing towards the front wheel, especially on steeper terrain.
Forbidden's own Trifecta suspension platform has also been re-tuned for the Dreadnought E, almost completely eliminating pedal kickback and brake squat. Smooth through sharp edges and active under braking, the bike is as comfortable as it is fast.
Motor power comes from the benchmark Avinox M2S, which pumps out a whopping 120Nm of torque and 1300W of continuous power, with even more available from the 30 second Boost mode. Fully user tuneable via a simple app, it can deliver anything from long range low power rides to super fast power hours or the ability to ride up previously impossible climbs.
The Tier 2 version of the Dreadnought combines Factory level Fox suspension with a solid and dependable build kit. The brilliant new 38 and X2 Float provide the suspension, brakes are SRAM Maven Silver, and a GX AXS groups takes care of the drivetrain with the mech wired into the main power system (allowing shifts while freewheeling). Wheels are Crank Brothers alloy.
Downhill bike with its own uplift sound good? Maybe this bike is for you.
