Like a mini Assegai, the new Maxxis Dissector G2 brings predictable grip, but with a dose of extra rolling speed thanks to a medium sized set of 3-2-3 patterned knobs. The new pattern provides a consistent feel at all angles and helps to resist twisting and deflection making for a tire that can both be pushed harder and one that should last longer.
Fitting in between the Forekaster and Minion DHR II, the Dissector G2 could make an ideal fast rolling rear tire for a 150mm travel bike, or alternatively do duty as a front tire for a shorter travel machine paired with an even quicker tire out back.
At just over 1000 grams in 29 x 2.4' for the Exo+ it's also a Goldilocks weight, tough enough to see proper use, but not so heavy as to slow down a lighter bike.
