About the Megatower V2
Originally designed for the harsh demands of Enduro World Series racing and now in its second iteration, the Megatower V2 is even more capable than its predecessor. A slack 63.5° head angle (size large) pairs with a generous, yet balanced wheelbase and 170m fork to give incredible confidence at speed. Much more than simply a mini downhill bike, an efficiently tuned VPP suspension linkage and a steep seat tube angle of 77.5° mean that the Megatower is also every bit as willing to grind out a steep liaison climb as it is to race the trail back down.
Coming stock with 165mm of rear travel, but able to be increased to 170mm via a longer stroke shock, the Megatower won’t be hold you back when the going gets rough, riding almost like a mini V10. A revised VPP link uses a lower overall leverage ratio to give a more controlled feeling to the rear suspension, making for more consistency and control throughout the entire travel range. It's also equally compatible with both air and coil shocks, thanks to adjustable progression via an easy to use flip chip on the lower link.
The Glovebox storage compartment creates space to carry essentials on the bike, helping to ride with a smaller pack and Santa Cruz’s legendary warranty has you covered for not just the frame itself but also supplies a lifetime of free frame bearings.
