Tweed Valley Bikes become a Burgtec Pro Shop!

We’re excited to announce another new brand for 2021, and this time it’s Burgtec! We’ll become one of Burgtec’s official Pro Shops, offering the full colour range in all of their products right here in Innerleithen. 

Burgtec offers an outstanding range of high quality components, from pedals, to stems and top caps, handlebars and grips, chainrings, axles, titanium shock bolts and much more. Their products are designed by riders, for riders, born out of the team’s passion for mountain bike racing and drive to develop some of the best bike parts on the market. We certainly think they’ve succeeded with that.

Burgtec provides us with a perfect solution to add some customisation to your new bike, making it stand out from the crowd and most importantly really feel like it’s your own. It’s not just about the looks though, their team have developed some truly excellent components to help you get the most from your bike set up too.

For example, the 42.5mm length Enduro MK3 stem fills the gap between the standard 35mm and 50mm stem lengths, allowing us to fine tune the reach of your bike and produce an end result that truly fits you and your riding style best. Likewise, their handlebars come in a range of ‘rises’ allowing you to adjust the height of your cockpit even after your fork steerer has been cut down - a great way to make changes to your set up on your current bike without breaking the bank. 

Burgtec chainrings too come in all different specs and sizes meaning we can tailor your drivetrain set up to suit the terrain you like to ride, matched with how much power you want to push out! They’re super high quality and long lasting so also make a great upgrade when it comes to replacing your worn out drivetrain. 

Another favourite amongst the team worth mentioning has to be the Burgtec Penthouse MK5 pedal, which as the name dictates is now on it’s fifth iteration, meaning a lot of time and effort has gone into developing this pedal making it, in our minds, one of the best on the market! It’s available in nine different colours (as most Burgtec products are) and is fully serviceable. Most importantly, the grip on these pedals is unbeatable and given a very high rating by our coaching team over at Dirt School.  

We’re super excited to be able to offer you such a high quality range of British bike components, whilst adding a bit of character to your trusty steed!
