- About our Demo Bikes
A long established classic, the Ripmo is Swiss Army knife of the Ibis bikes range. Hard enough charging to take on the EDR world cups but with the lightness and pedal efficiency for big days it's a bike that go almost anywhere and not feel out of place.
Completely revised for the V3 the new bike improves on an already brilliant platform in almost every area. Based round a 160mm fork, the rear travel bumps up slightly to 150mm and the head angle rakes out a touch to 64.5'. Now modular, the bike can use either a full 29' setup or a 650b rear thanks to a neat flip chip on the upper DW rocker link.
Seat angles are tweaked by size, as is BB height and the linkage is now re-designed and more progressive to work with either air or coil shocks. Standover has also been lowered with all frames now featuring a very nicely executed storage compartment, complete with in frame Cotopaxi pouches to silently store your spares.
As with the V2 bikes, all cables are run tube in tube inside the frame for easy swaps, the BB remains threaded and regular headset cups allow the use of a choice of headsets or even anglesets. Out back a UDH hanger ensures easy spares and SRAM T-Type compatibility.
After a simple, no nonsense bike that can cover just about every aspect of mountain biking? It could well be the Ripmo.

From World championship wins to the award winning BASE college course, we've experienced and forged it all. Our evolution led to the formation of Tweed Valley Guides and now Tweed Valley Bikes too, allowing us to help you buy the right equipment, and be able to ride with you on the best trails and help you learn how to get the most out of it. Our shop has genuinely grown from the trail.
